Items considered to be yard include: leaves and grass clippings bagged in paper or put in barrels marked Yard Waste and small branches less than 1 inch in diameter and cut into 3-foot lengths (or less) and tied neatly into bundles. Bundles must be less than 30" wide and weigh less than 30 lbs.

You cannot put out a root ball (covered with dirt) or stumps in with yard waste. They will not be collected.

Arlington residents are reminded not to put leaves into public ways such as sidewalks and streets. (See Town Bylaw Title 3, Article 1, Section 33) and asked to pick up leaves in front of their house.

Biweekly collections will be held from April 12 until October 22, 2010 on your regular recycling week.

Weekly Yard Waste Collections will be held from October 25 - December 3, 2010 on your regular trash day.

Have bags, bundles or barrels at the curb by 7 a.m. on pick up day.  Any questions, call the DPW office at 781-316-3108.
