The Town of Arlington charges to pick up appliances, otherwise known as white goods, at $20 per unit for curbside collection. In this way, residents pay only when they have one of these items collected. If you would like to have the DPW pick your unit up, please purchase a sticker, during regular business hours, and you will be scheduled for your next trash day.
Residents must purchase a sticker(s) at the DPW office or send a check to: "Town of Arlington", Department of Public Works, 51 Grove Street, Arlington, MA 02476. The sticker must be attached to the front of their item and placed on the curb on the designated day.
Items that need to have a sticker for pick up include, but not limited to:
Air-conditioners
Dishwashers
Washing machines
Dryer
Oil burners
Dehumidifiers
Hot-water heaters
Stoves
Refrigerators and freezers (doors removed)
Computer monitors/TVs are only picked up on scheduled days. You can view information on CRT/TV collection and the most recent schedule here.
