Answer:

Stray Dog Pick-ups
Maintaining List of Lost/Found Cats. Note: We do not house Lost/Found Cats (Felines.)
If a Resident wants to give up a pet they should contact  Animal Umbrella, MSPCA, and The Animal Rescue League of Boston.
Returning Animals to their Registered Owners
Investigate Animal Nuisance Complaints
Animal bite quarantines
Rabies Control
Investigate Animal Abuse/Collector
Animal Control Education & Information
Working with the Board of Health and Police

Removal of Animals - Emergency
dead, alive or injured - is only performed when the animal is creating a traffic hazard or involved in a situation that is dangerous to human safety. Please call the police at 781-316-1212 to report such an incident.
Removal of Animals - Non-emergency
The Animal Control Officer does not remove animals, dead or alive, in non-emergency situations. Example mouse, bird of squirrel in your house. The ACO is available to offer their expertise in removing such animals from you property and can be reached during business hours at 781-316-3950. Or you can contact the following commercial wildlife companies who will provide these services for a fee. Fees are the responsibility of the resident whom request this assistance.
