How do I obtain an absentee ballot?
Answer:

Apply in writing to your city or town clerk or election commission and include your:
        a.     name
        b.     address as registered
        c.     precinct (click 
here to find your precinct)
        d.     address where you wish the absentee ballot sent
        e.     in a primary, the party ballot you want, and
        f.      signature

There is an application form available at your local election office or by downloading one of the applications on the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website: www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howabs.htm

Whichever method you choose, the application must be made in writing and signed.
The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is noon, the day before the election.
