Can the City fix the curb and gutter in front of my house so the water doesn't pond there?
The City has prepared a Storm Drainage Master Plan, which identified $5 million in high priority drainage improvement projects. The City collects approximately $400,000 per year for the Storm Water System Service Fee fund to design and construction drainage improvement projects. Curb and gutter replacement projects have not been a higher priority than new storm drain pipe and inlet projects.
If the curb and gutter that causes ponding is next to a sidewalk that is lifted, then it is possible that the curb, gutter and sidewalk could be replaced as part of the sidewalk cost share program or a capital improvement project.
